Gypsum
Gypsum is a sulfate mineral of great commercial importance. It is composed of hydrated calcium. There are three varieties—satin spar, alabaster and gypsite.

Satin spar is fibrous massive type with a silky lustre. It is translucent and opalescent, valued for ornaments and jewelry. Alabaster is a fine-grained massive variety, preferred for sculptures and other ornamental uses. Gypsite is the earthy powdery variety.

Our gypsum is extracted from limestones, namely in Perak.
